In 2015 the organization Faculty of things that can’t be learned – FRU has taken the lead in organization and implementation of the award. The first award jury decided to name the award DENES, after the renowned artistic group that existed in Macedonia from 1953 – 1955.

Since 2015theawardisgiveneverysecondyeartoyoungvisualartistsupto35years of age. Furthermore, in the year without award FRU organizes the discursive and educational program “The Perfect Artist”, curated by Ivana Vaseva, which consists of a series of events with an intention to strengthen and empower the education of the young visual artists in the country.
